It's finally here, my long awaited release day for my paranormal time travel romance, OUT OF THE BLUE, from The Wild Rose Press. The buy link is http://www.thewildrosepress.com/, hint, hint. This is my first full-length romance with The Wild Rose Press, and I have to say that working with them has been a pleasure. They are very professional, yet also author friendly. Nicola Martinez designed the cover which fits so well with the story. You can see the cliffs of Ireland at the top and the Texas landscape at the bottom. Coins play a part in the story, too. The heroine has long black hair, so the cover also depicts her correctly. Working with editor Kelly Schaub was also a pleasure. Kelly knows her stuff, but is always gentle with constructive criticism.
I was part of an award winning Civil War anthology last year, NORTHERN ROSES AND SOUTHERN BELLES, with five friends. What a lovely experience that was. Editor Allison Byers was very nice to work with.
It's refreshing to have a cover that reflects the story. Not all do, you know. I've heard friends complain that the cover in no way is like the story or the hero or the heroine. And the worst cover ever was the one I had for THE MOST UNSUITABLE HUSBAND. That was a great book, in my opinion, but the useless cover shot down sales. What a tragedyl. Ah, but I digressed.
I invite you to join me today as Mary Ricksen, Sharon Donovan, and Hywela Lyn treat me to a release party at their author roast and toast blog. Comment there to enter a drawing for a free download of the book. Come join the fun for a virtual margarita. Then, head on over to Kelly McCrady's site for another release announcement for OUT OF THE BLUE. It's a fun day and I hope you'll join me in celebrating. Whoo hooo!
