Reforming this bad boy makes her want to be very naughty…

PR expert extraordinaire Fiona Maguire must deal with her most challenging task yet: clean up NASCAR champion Jax Hannigan’s act by posing as his girlfriend. She’s determined to help him because she feels responsible for his best friend’s death after setting the wrong man free for all the right reasons. Truthfully, she’s always harbored a secret crush on Jax—one she should ignore now, but can’t when passion flares between them.

To secure a coveted sponsorship and prove he’s got what it takes to win to his slimy former team owner/stepfather, Jax needs to reform his bad boy image. He’s got the best in public relations backing him. The attraction sizzling between them is tempting, but she’s only available because he encouraged her fiancĂ© to drive in a race that killed him.

Soon days of working together turn to passionate, steamy nights. But their feelings for each other could jeopardize his comeback, especially after another scandal erupts. Now Jax must choose the ultimate prize: a championship trophy… or the woman he loves.

WILDE HORSES BY JANNINE GALLANT

Wilde Horses
by
Jannine Gallant
Genre: Romantic Suspense

Pub
Date: May 23, 2017

The Wilde brothers may be attracted
to all things fast and furious. But their spirited sister can’t be
tamed when it comes to matters of the heart . . .

The beautiful vistas and peace and
quiet on her family’s Wyoming ranch are a balm for Eden Wilde’s
soul—and inspire a gentle touch when it comes to breaking the wild
horses she loves. Though there’s no hope on the breathtaking
horizon for her love life. Until her sanctuary is invaded by a movie
studio shooting their latest blockbuster starring Hollywood’s man
of the moment.

After a personal tragedy plays out in
his real life, movie star Blake Benedict finds himself falling for
the wide-open spaces and easy going pace of Wyoming—and for Eden.
Around her, he feels safe shedding his public persona and letting
down his guard. But then accidents begin to happen on set, mishaps
that could end Blake’s career—or his life. And Eden will be
forced out of her comfort zone to save the Hollywood hero from an
enemy he never saw coming . . .

Write what you know. Jannine Gallant
has taken this advice to heart, creating characters from small towns
and plots that unfold in the great outdoors. She grew up in a tiny
Northern California town and currently lives in beautiful Lake Tahoe
with her husband and two daughters. When she isn’t busy writing or
being a full time mom, Jannine hikes or snowshoes in the woods around
her home. Whether she’s writing contemporary, historical or
romantic suspense, Jannine brings the beauty of nature to her
stories.

In my February release, WILDE THING, Tripp can’t get enough of this delectable berry cobbler…or of Hannah.

He planted a hand on either side of her and leaned in for a lingering kiss. She tasted sweeter than the cobbler he’d eaten earlier. One helping of the dessert hadn’t been enough, either.

Mixed Berry Cobbler

Ingredients

Berry Filling
1 cup each fresh blackberries, boysenberries, and raspberries
½ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
½ cup water

Topping
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
¼ cup granulated sugar
½ cup milk
¼ cup butter or margarine, softened

Ice cream, if desired

Directions
Heat oven to 375°.

In a medium saucepan, stir together filling ingredients and cook over medium heat until thickened and bubbly.

Stir together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Stir in milk and butter until blended.

Pour berry filling into 1 ½ quart ungreased casserole. Spoon topping in mounds over berries.

Bake 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted into crust comes out clean.

Serve warm with ice cream.

DO YOU ENJOY A HAPPY ENDING? #GlassSlipperSisters

Who doesn’t love a happy ending? In my opinion, most romances offer a fairy-tale plot: the heroine has a problem, she meets her prince, something keeps them apart, they overcome the obstacle to reach a happily-ever-after. After you read a book of this type, you have a warm feeling inside. As a reader, you’re happier and ready to overcome your own obstacles to happiness.

I’m a member of several Facebook special interest groups. Today I’d like to share with you The Glass Slipper Sisters on Facebook and on their website. The amazing Stacy Juba founded this group, which includes NYTimes and USA bestselling authors of both contemporary and historical romances. We have a lot of magic going on in this group.

Each Monday on the Facebook site, we have what’s called “Magical Monday”, and that means that (usually) one of the authors offers a giveaway with swag included. All you have to do is comment to be entered. My turn is now, June 12, but I’ll wait until Wednesday to announce the winner. In case you’re not already a member, the url is https://www.facebook.com/groups/482493158588214/.

There is a FREE (my favorite price)  Cinderella Treasure Trove of recipes, excerpts from some of our books, and other trivia available at https://www.amazon.com/Cinderella-Treasure-Trove-Lynette-Sofras-ebook/dp/B019E764YA/ref=sr_1_34?ie=UTF8&qid=1496851188&sr=8-34&keywords=Caroline+Clemmons I didn’t shorten the link because some people are afraid to click on the shortened versions. I believe Lynette Sofras compiled the Treasure Trove from our submissions.

Thursdays offer Tiara Thursday when we invite members to discuss a good book they’ve read or a movie they’ve seen. This doesn’t have to be fairy tale themed but simply a book or movie you enjoyed. I recently saw an old movie called “Wild Oats” which I enjoyed. And I recently read The Little Beach Street Bakery series, which does have the required HEA.

Fridays offer Fairy Tale Fridays when author members can post excerpts of their work in progress or one of their released romances. I recently shared an excerpt from my latest release, LORRAINE, Bride Brigade Book 6. That series is sort of a fairy tale theme with Lydia Harrison acting the role of fairy godmother for seven young women. Now I’m working on SNARE HIS HEART and I’ll include an excerpt from that one Friday soon before the July 15 release.

The Glass Slipper Sisters has a new web site created by Stacy Juba! You'll love browsing and shopping on our fun new web site at http://glassslippersisters.wordpress.com.  We have welcomed several new authors to the group including more NY Times and USA Today bestselling writers. On our website you can read author bios, get links to freebies and special offers, browse our brand new Amazon store, and check out our Facebook group.
Why not head on over to the Glass Slipper Sisters Facebook site and sign up? We’ll welcome you. Then, check out our website. We're a busy group of writers and we want to share with you. You don't have to wear a tiara to participate.
Thanks for stopping by today!

WHAT TO DO WITH AN UGLY BRIDESMAID'S DRESS . . .

THE SWEETHEART KISS
by
Cheryl Ann Smith

Genre: Romantic Suspense

Pub
Date: May 9, 2017

Jess Lucas works hard at the all-female PI firm Brash & Brazen, and
after a brush with death, she’s determined to play hard
too—preferably with a certain detective on the Ann Arbor police
force…

Jess was stuck at a frenemy’s wedding, playing bridesmaid in a
mustard-yellow monstrosity, when chaos erupted. First the bride’s
ex tried to stop the wedding. Then someone really put a damper on the
big day by sending a bullet through a stained glass window and into
one of the groomsmen. At least her ugly dress came in handy to stop
the bleeding . . .

While
the poor guy is rushed to the ER, Jess gets grilled by a gorgeous cop
who’s not thrilled to learn she’s part PI and part pit bull. But
he has to admit she’s highly observant . . . and he observes that
she’s pretty hot, too.

The
thing is, Jess was walking up the same aisle as the victim, and Sam
suspects she was the real target. It’s more than professional duty
that makes him want to protect her—if he doesn’t arrest her first
for interfering in his investigation . . .

Cheryl Smith became hooked on romance at age fourteen when she stayed up
all night to read The Flame and The Flower by Kathleen Woodiwiss. Her
own writing journey happened much later, when one afternoon she ran
out of books and decided to write her own. Previously, she has
published five sexy Regency novels and one novella with Berkley in
her School for Brides series.

CHASING LOVE, THE LITTLETON BROTHERS SERIES, BY MELISSA WEST

CHASING LOVE
by
Melissa West
Genre: Contemporary Romance

Pub
Date: 5/30/17

Farming family land on sunny Crestler’s Key, the sweet, sexy Littleton brothers are notorious
bachelors. But all that will change when the right woman comes along…

There aren’t many things Charlie
Littleton values more than his lifelong friendship with his buddy
Lucas, currently home from a tour in Iraq. But when he discovers that
Lucas’s younger sister, Lila, is back to assist the town’s
overburdened veterinarian, Charlie is torn. She’s no longer the
skinny, awkward kid he remembers, but a gorgeous woman—one Lucas
would never approve of him dating. When Lucas asks him to watch out
for Lila when he’s called to duty again, Charlie can’t say no—but
he can’t pretend it’s easy to ignore his feelings either.

As
a teen, Lila crushed on Charlie—hard—and the man he’s grown up
to be is even more wonderful than she dreamed. Relationships are a
tricky business, though, and too much history is at stake to risk one
now. But every moment they’re together is heated by their simmering
attraction—and one day an impulsive kiss leads to much more. What’s
tangled in a matter of loyalty soon becomes a question of the kind of
love worth chasing…

Melissa West writes heartfelt Southern
romance and teen sci-fi romance, all with lots of kissing. Because
who doesn't like kissing? She lives outside of Atlanta, GA, with her
husband and two daughters and spends most of her time writing,
reading, or fueling her coffee addiction.

WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE YOU? -- A PINEVILLE ROMANCE

WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE YOU?
by
Allyson Charles
Genre: Contemporary Romance

Pub
Date: May 9, 2017

Disorder In The Court . . .
Connie Wilkerson has worked her butt
off to go from heartbroken paralegal with a drinking problem to
becoming Pineville, Michigan’s fiercest new lawyer. But she’s
still short on luck.

Exhibit A: her very first case is against
bad-boy contractor David Carelli.

Carelli has been a thorn in
Connie’s side since high school, getting away with whatever he
dreams up. He’s blond, handsome, and he dresses like a model. But
everyone in town knows he cuts corners. Just the way he looks at her
really gets Connie’s goat. She’s going to get him into chambers
and settle the smug right out of him.

There’s just one problem. Exhibit B:
Their supposedly hostile negotiations are turning hot instead. Now
the jury is out on whether a second chance is recommended . . .

Guest Post by Allyson Charles

Go-Go-Goat Yoga:

In WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE YOU?, my latest book with Lyrical Press, a goat features very prominently in the story. His name is Milo, and there isn’t anything he doesn’t like to eat – except for maybe his actual food. I had a lot of fun researching goats, and now even have cute baby goat pictures popping up in my Facebook feed (I might have a problem). Goats are useful for producing milk, giving us great yarn, for helping you with your Downward-Facing Dog… Wait, what?

Yes, apparently goats are not only adorable and their milk makes delicious cheese, but they are also great at helping you increase your flexibility and find your center. Goat Yoga, an actual thing, will have you lunging and cat posing, and my personal favorite, corpse posing, all while little goats climb and butt heads with you. Now, you might be thinking, why the heck would I want livestock crawling on me, and, as my sister pointed out, livestock-related products (euphemism alert) anywhere near my yoga mat? The better question is, why would you want your play-time with a bunch of adorable little goats spoiled with yoga? Seriously, have you seen baby goat faces? Adorable. Who could concentrate on holding a pose with those little faces begging for love?

The trend for goat yoga started in central Oregon, in the Willamette Valley. In theory, having goats wander around and climb on you as you exercise combines animal therapy with all the benefits of yoga. Just think how strong your shoulder and arm muscles will be if you plank with a goat perched on your back. And the goat drool dripping on your hair… Yeah, maybe not. I think I’ll stick with the delicious cheese and the knitting supplies that a goat can provide. And if I need a little goat therapy, because who doesn’t every once in a while?, I’ll head to a petting zoo.

Allyson Charles lives in Northern
California. She’s the author of the “Pineville Romance” series,
small-town, contemporary romances published by Lyrical Press. A
former attorney, she happily ditched those suits and now works in her
pajamas writing about men’s briefs instead of legal briefs. When
she’s not writing, she’s probably engaged in one of her favorite
hobbies: napping, eating, or martial arts (That last one almost makes
up for the first two, right?). One of Allyson’s greatest
disappointments is living in a state that doesn’t have any Cracker
Barrels in it.

SUMMERTIME IS HERE--AND A SALE!

Summertime… and the livin’ is not so easy for me. For the past several days, the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex has had orange ozone alert days with warnings to stay inside if you have health problems. We can see the air, which is never a good thing. That’s how we know it’s summer in these parts.☺

As for me, I’m a fan of cool weather so this is definitely not my favorite season. I stay close to the A/C and keep ice water or cold Dr Pepper handy and my ceiling fan swirling overhead. Although I don’t enjoy the 96 degrees F we had today, I enjoy a lot of things that happen this time of year.

For instance, graduations. Matthew Rogers, the grandson of my longtime Lubbock friend, Iris Dial Rogers, has graduated from high school. How can he be old enough? Only a few years ago (or so it seems!) I was one of Iris’ bridesmaids when she married Clarence Rogers. Then, when their daughter Clarissa married, I served cake and punch at the reception—along with Darlene, another of Iris’ former bridesmaids. We each wore the brooch Iris had given us as a bridesmaid gift for being in her wedding. Time flies when you’re not looking!

For a small fee, you can harvest your
own lavender at the Lavender Festival.

I enjoy the festivals held throughout the state—probably they’re throughout the entire country but I only keep up with local events. Over the weekend near Gainesville, the Lavender Festival was a success. Not as large as the one at Blanco, Texas, it’s still a fun outing. If it continues to grow, they’ll have to increase the size of their cafĂ©. The cafĂ© offers lavender flavored ice cream, tea, and other foods seasoned with lavender. I have lavender-flavored peach jam for my breakfast toast. Mmmm.

Speaking of peaches, the Parker County Peach Festival will happen on July 8. Hero and I used to own a peach orchard. While I'm quite content to no longer have that responsibility, I still miss eating a peach fresh from the tree. Peaches never taste sweeter than when you pluck them, wash them, and take a bite. Washing is optional, of course, but we chose to do so. While we owned the orchard, we picked fruit early in the day and were finished by about half past nine. Peaches last longer if picked before they get too heated in the day. I also last longer if I'm inside before that time. ☺

Daughter Bea, left, and me at
one of the Parker County Peach Festivals.

I no longer traipse from vendor to vendor at the Festival, but I used to enjoy seeing each booth. I've helped with several of them. I've baked peach cobbler for one organization to sell by the bowl. Another time I helped serve peach ice cream for the church. One year, I organized the Old Fiddler’s Contest. It isn’t called that because the participants were old men or women, but the idea of fiddlers as part of a Texas county event is an old, old tradition.

Book one of ten

By the way, if you enjoy cozy mysteries, Livia J. Washburn writes a delightful series containing peach-themed books that are set in Parker County. Livia also writes as Livia Reasoner and with Cheryl Pierson owns Prairie Rose Publications. In addition to writing under both her names, to editing and creating covers for Prairie Rose, Livia edits her husband James Reasoner's books. She has a bunch of pets and is active in family care. I don't know what she does in her spare time. ☺

Usually (in any season) I can be found indoors in my nice air-conditioned, pink-walled office sitting at the computer and keying in words like crazy. If you read this blog regularly, you are aware that I just released LORRAINE, Bride Brigade book six. Thank you to those who’ve bought this book! If you haven’t purchased it, you can do so at this link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0725WQ6XG. (Hint, hint.)

My current project is another in Debra Holland’s Montana Sky Series for Kindle Worlds, SNARE HIS HEART. Skhye Moncrief has designed the cover except for the title linking my series about ranchers within Debra’s series. The reason is I have just come up with a series name, Loving a Rancher Series.  What do you think? Does that work? I am loving this new story and will be eager to learn your reaction on July 15 when it’s released.

SNARE YOUR HEART'S hero is scarred from his attempt to save his late wife from their burning home. His scars don't show on the cover because they're on the right side of his face and body. Because of the puckered reminders of the fire, he avoids people he fears will be shocked by his appearance, Yet, he needs a wife to care for his three children, to cook, and to clean. She will also need to teach the children because they’re too far for daily trips to and from school in Sweetwater Springs. Not a romantic start, but the heroine sorts him out by the end of the book—as you knew she would. Those spunky heroines always win their man's heart, don't they?

Amazon has a 99 cent sale during June on several of the Kindle Worlds books. You can get the entire list at http://debraholland.com/kindle-worlds.html Mine on sale are THE RANCHER AND THE SHEPHERDESS and BRIDE'S ADVENTURE. You'll find them listed on Debra's website and on my Amazon author page at https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=Caroline+Clemmons While you're at my author page, please click follow. You'll be notified whenever I have a new release or there's a sale on one of my books.

I hope you'e enjoying the weather wherever you are. Thanks for stopping by today!
